Went to Loondon Corpse Bride Premiere, fun. Hi Tim! Whitehouse got a voice over part, cool. Hardest game in the world...

Hunter's Final goodbye note was quite touching. The Doc's had his last ride being fired from a huge fist-shaped cannon by Col. Depp. Fare thee well, HST! What a way to go, special.

Rum to roll...Wonka Yeah! Hi! All goin' to plan. (On the side, Keef is gonna be Colonel Depp's Sparrow dad in Pirates 3! Well, you have heard of me...) Depp Executive producer, shoot and cast news here. Gonzo.org delivers some righteous material as ever. As reported Bruce Robinson is the director, now after 18 months wait we are rolling!
Gonzo trust news Quite an amazing article on Hunter, Rum Diary and Lono.Hey, Johnny! HELP!
All got together in Colorado Hotel for a private goodbye to the Doc. Some very good tributes and tales (Depp et al getting a cannon, travels and the cherry bomb story are excellent!) of the Doc in the Forum, feel free to keep leaving your thoughts there. Very sad, heartfelt feelings for those who knew and loved him. Let's get the Rum on the road as a testament. The great news is according the press Colonel J.D, Nolte and Robinson want to go at it in high gear!

1)STOP PRESS! Rum Diaries Movie with Johnny Depp as "Paul Kemp". I think I can announce Benicio is going to direct. (Nolte) Thanks to the General for that one. And the Stones were amazing, hope I've got Jagger's energy when I'm 60. They played Jumpin' Jack Flash for 10 minutes at the end...woohoo! More film updates, check under the photos of the cast and Hunter below. Down there you bastard!

(2) 2003 The books is very different from Fear and Loathing in Vegas, before the "Raoul Duke" American Dream days. Paul Kemp is a journalist for a falling paper in San Juan, although Al's/digging a festival is the place to be! Will it make for a good movie? A Big thanks for your mails, guestbook signings and general feedback so far, now the No.1 site for the Rum Diary film, until the official one comes along! Tell me what you think. The plot:"The text starts as the male protagonist Paul Kemp leaves NY for San Juan to peruse a career there as a news reporter for the local English paper the San Juan Daily News. He meets Lotterman the owner, Sala photographer, and Yeman the crazed reporter. Chenault is the main female character who’s the antagonist and stirs up trouble between characters. Enough said it’s a really great read, don’t want to spoil the ending, can’t wait to see the movie." by angie lve, who I will mail! Hello!

(3) 2003 Many fine books have been written in prison. Finished book!Enjoyable, but I think many people could write similar experiences with their jobs and going down the pub. It's a good story of trying to make the wheels of journalism and alcoholism turn. Some interesting characters. I eagerly wait the film, not fade away. Rum diary movie go go go

(4) Saw Pirates of Caribbean (just come out in England), Johnny was superbly twisted, shades of Keef, all the cast and crew must be praised, amen to that. Paul Whitehouse (Fast Show fame, hardest game in the world) is tipped to now be a major Hollywood star by me(!) as he is mates with Mr.Depp. I wonder if Rum Diaries may contain a cameo role for him (as in Neverland) Yes, Sir. CAST LIST! And a better one!

(5) Back from Italia! Big news coming soon. Trailer? Maybe. Read "Kingdom of Fear" by the good Doctor...most enjoyable. I have also decided to go to the Leic. Square premiere of RDs (if one occurs) with my attorney, so he can support the next item, a stepladder, camera and beer and maybe some Pina Coladas. Indeed. (10)Hell's Angels wins the "Book you'd like to see converted for Hunter's third film!" Vrrm: John Cusack has ponied up to adapt Hells Angels, the scabrous sociological study of Californian biker gangs that first brought him national acclaim.

Various reports on some sites stating Costa Rica in January for shooting. What's next? Possible, but I would ignore this terrible rumour. Pueto Rico, now, man!Rumchatroom opened here. It's only rock 'n' roll.

What's your Spongebob IQ?

(16) Kemp's your ultimate character in last week's poll, followed by drinking from the bottle, which is valid.

(18) Mr Del Toro:"The book came out a couple of years ago and I said to Hunter, 'I should direct this.' And he was like, 'You never directed a movie, ha, ha, ha,' " says Del Toro, imitating the outlaw writer's staccato laugh. "Then one day, I got a phone call from him at 5 o'clock in the morning and he said, 'I got good news for you. How about you direct Rum Diary? You never directed a movie before, ha, ha, ha.'
With red-hot Johnny Depp in the Thompson-inspired role again, Del Toro just may have the last laugh." Alright, ha ha ha!

Many reporters on a binge in Rico for this month's+ shooting for the site! Hot damn! Hunter on the 1st meet:"There was a flashy convention of Gucci executives, a movie-crew busily filming the last days of Warren Zevon, and a profoundly violent gathering of famous actors and huge dogs who were here to launch the production of a gamey film called "The Rum Diary" in 2003.
This was the reason for my own participation, if only because I wrote the book. Johnny Depp was here, along with Benecio Del Toro, Nick Nolte, and the goofy child prodigy Josh Hartnett of "Black Hawk Down" fame. ... The idea was to meet and quarrel calmly for two or three days"

18) The Doc's broken his leg in Honolulu, get on that medication and better soon man! Shooting still going ahead as planned, next year Article on this.
"Benicio in Cuba recently with Terrence Mallic for the film festival down there. Benicio also spent Christmas in Puerto Rico. He mentioned on Charlie Rose that they were still working out the 'logistics' for Rum Diary."

Original gonzo almost–portable reporter's typewriter news: According to Anita Thompson, who has been Mrs Hunter S. Thompson since April of 2003, the journalist intends to visit Puerto Rico when the film begins production early this year. He is slated to be a consultant, but is not expected to called on for any driving activities! Indeed.
Sean Penn is going to watch football on his couch until the end of the season drinking beer and eating snacks. Fiend! Wise fool mind, yes. Turn foul wheels of progress

(GOd knows which number man) So in the new June issue of Vanity Fair Dr. Thompson has written an article on the unfair imprisonment of a woman named Lisl Auman for the murder of a CO police officer. Depp and Mr. Del Toro have also joined in on little mission of the doctors." What is Gilliam up to? And indeed what would he do in this situation? Mr.Depp's striking up "The Man Who Killed Don Quixote" with him. Go Python!

Hunter's done some stuff..are you still reading this man? He's had a cameo and likes Ali G for real bo!
"Bruce Robinson is the new man said to be directing" He is from my home county no less ...
